Trevios CIP – software for team-based improvement processes and managed ideas
CIP – why not make use of TREVIOS software to manage workshops and PDCA actions transparently in one software tool?
CIP moderators can put together groups of staff who work as a team on an objective or a problem. Relevant and effective measures are then worked out in the group, supported by tools in the CIP Workshop module. The CIP moderator has the option here of assigning responsibility for processing the measures to action managers and implementers. All the processing stages (from “Task defined” to “Effectiveness checked”) can be kept track of through the software.
All the tasks necessary for the processing of a CIP workshop are carried out on a decentralized basis by responsible staff in the company. The actions recorded are captured in a standardized way (processed according to the Deming cycle / PDCA cycle) and their processing is supported by the software. The workshops allow each CIP moderator to keep a constant eye on the current (processing) status of each action. Each member of staff involved recognizes which duties that have been assigned to them still need processing.
An interface to the TREVIOS Ideas Management module enables actions to be forwarded to the suggestion system for subsequent reward.
CIP Workshops
Actions are recorded in a pooled and structured way in the Trevios CIP Workshop module. A variety of workshop types are available (e.g. TQM, TPM, Lernstatt, CIP). The CIP workshops can be assigned to various classifications (e.g. process, finance, customer, employee). The Trevios CIP Workshop Manager allows workshops to be conducted directly or scheduled through participation administration. Any number of sessions within a CIP subject / problem area (e.g. retirement) are supported. A central element for processing objectives in CIP Workshops is the processing of actions in the PDCA cycle.
Actions
Quality-determining factors are recorded as actions in an action sheet that meets the criteria of the PDCA cycle. The processing of actions within the PDCA cycle takes place in defined processing stages. In the course of this, actions can differ as to their status: from “Action defined” to “Action effective”. The complete and subsequent processing of the actions by the software is thus assured. Whoever has accepted a particular task (person responsible, implementer) with a particular status can be determined by the CIP Moderator (problem owner) of the CIP workshop.
Processing of the actions
The people involved in processing the action acquire the duties and rights resulting from the planning in the PDCA sheet. Responsibilities are clearly assigned and deadlines are set. The moderator records the action and arranges responsibility, and the implementer implements the system – transparently and in a task-specific manner over the entire CIP process. Deadlines can be monitored and any escalations required can be initiated by means of a deadline and escalation system (analogous to Trevios Ideas Management).
Tools – effective measures
To help you develop or find relevant and effective measures, the Trevios CIP Workshop Manager provides you with a host of tools (Ishikawa cause-and-effect diagram, problem definition, fact sheet, data analysis, etc.). All the tools are fully integrated in all components of the Trevios Software. Within a problem-solving sheet, all tools and actions can be generated in summarized form as a printout.
Microsoft© Sharepoint integration
Microsoft SharePoint (Microsoft SharePoint Server©) is the leading platform for web-based collaboration in companies. With the TREVIOS integration in the SharePoint environment of your company, you will create a single point of entry for your ideas and innovation management. Parts of the TREVIOS Ideas Management software are thus available in the SharePoint environment as Web Parts and list views.
TREVIOS ideas management
The Ideas Management (suggestion system) module of the Trevios Ideas Management software reproduces your ideas process in its entirety – we match our software to your existing process. Staff can record their ideas simply, intuitively and comfortably. Ideas can be evaluated and reviewed, and their implementation monitored – in 110% conformity with the requirements of your works agreement.

TREVIOS Complaints / 8D – 110% integrated
The 8D process stands for the eight obligatory “disciplines” or procedural steps that are required to process a complaint. The type of complaint, the responsibilities and the actions involved in correcting the defect are documented in the 8D report.
Trevios 8D software provides total support with the entire 8D process. All the relevant information (immediate action, responsibilities, etc.) can be captured and the processing via the team is controlled in the workflow by the software. A variety of tools (Ishikawa diagrams, 5-Why analysis) are available to the user.

TREVIOS Innovation Management – innovations – 110% integrated
Innovations often go through a process that is independent of the ideas management system. Interfaces enable real innovations to be forwarded to the Trevios Innovation Management module. Here they are dealt with in a separate innovation process. Transfer of innovations (after suitable evaluation, for example) back to the ideas management system is also possible.
